The structure of a 501(c)(3) would restrict the fluidity of our mission. Having a board of directors to approve decisions would hamper our effectiveness within communities. Instead, we operate as social entrepreneurs. We make a very small profit on each PowerPens® to compensate for the time spent on this initiative. A percentage of the sales of all PowerPens® is set aside to further advocate for change by stopping domestic and financial abuse through financial literacy.

We believe no one should have to pay for the information we provide. If you wish to distribute PowerPens® through your hospital, college infirmary, domestic abuse shelter or any other place a woman might turn to in their time of need, contact us directly.

More than fifty thousand women (50K) die globally by acts of domestic violence. Our approach is multifaceted and includes the launch of the I Know Why She Stayed Initiative, resources to obtain PowerPens® which include a secret flash drive that holds all the information outlined in our presentation along with a place to safely store documents needed to leave an abusive relationship, and a copy of the I Know Why She Stayed book (currently in production) with companion reader’s guide and workbook.

Perks sent to individuals on behalf of a donation are taxed as income and take money away from the distribution of PowerPens to organizations who can put these resources in the hands of women in need.

Because we value all donations equally, and understand that $5 for one person might be the equivalent of $5,000 for another, we will be recognizing all donors (including anonymous contributors) at our live event and on our website.*
