I Know Why She Stayed, is an initiative that aims to provide tools and materials to create awareness about the link between domestic and financial abuse. This program will be provided to shelters for free and was created by three authors who have been touched by abuse. We aim to raise funds for this cause by holding the Authors Against Abuse Silent Auction online from April 22 – 27, 2025. 

 

This event will help us provide a unique but powerful program developed to aid victims of domestic abuse heal from their trauma. Our work also includes developing educational materials that aim to prevent domestic abuse by highlighting the warning signs of financial abuse, which studies show often prevents victims from leaving.
